Transfield Services' Subsidiary Renews Five-Year Agreement With Chevron

Published: 08-Oct-2009

TIMEC, an oil and gas maintenance company of Transfield Services (Australia) Pty Limited's (Transfield Services), has renewed its long-term agreement with Chevron Corporation (Chevron) for a further five years. The average yearly revenue from the contract over the last three years was about $50 million per year.

Under the contract, TIMEC will continue to provide Chevron with routine maintenance, turnarounds and minor capital works services, including specialty catalyst handling, welding and safety support services across its oil refineries in Pascagoula, Mississippi; El Segundo and Richmond, California; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Hawaii.

Transfield Services' Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Peter Goode, said: “We have provided services to Chevron since 1971. Our commitment to providing a high-level of service safely and efficiently during that time has contributed to Chevron renewing our contract without going to market.”

“Our commitment to safety was demonstrated in September this year, when TIMEC achieved its sixth consecutive year and more than 1.2 million work hours at Chevron’s Salt Lake City facility without a recordable injury.”
