Jacobs Engineering Secures $1.5 Million Worth GES Contract From Petro Rabigh

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs Engineering), a company engaged in providing technical, professional, and construction services, said that its local subsidiary in Saudi Arabia, Jacobs ZATE, has received a general engineering services (GES) contract from the Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) for its $15 billion facility. The total value of the one-year contract is expected to be around $1.5 million.

Petro Rabigh, a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Oil Company and Sumitomo Chemical, is situated in the Red Sea port of Rabigh, about 165 kilometers north of Jeddah on the west coast of Saudi Arabia. The petrochemical complex can pump 18.4 million tons per year (mpta) of petroleum-based products and 2.4 mpta of ethylene and propylene-based derivatives.

Jacobs ZATE will offer mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical engineering for refinery and petrochemical, drafting-related services, management-related services, and any other engineering services needed by the facility.
