Jacobs Engineering Expands Role At BP's Whiting Refinery Modernization Project In Indiana

Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. (Jacobs Engineering) is increasing its responsibility to include construction management (CM) services for Whiting refinery modernization project for BP Products North America Inc. This expands Jacobs Engineering's present role, which includes engineering, procurement, and fabrication. The Whiting modernization program will endow the refinery to process additional Canadian heavy crude oil and raise motor fuel production.
Jacobs Engineering's portion of the program concentrates on the sulfur recovery complex, which comprises of numerous new sulfur recovery units, tail gas units, amines units and sour water strippers in addition to considerable modifications to existing units, utilities and control systems.
The company is carrying out engineering, procurement, and construction management services out of its Baton Rouge office, and its fabrication services out of its Charleston, South Carolina, modular shop.
